There should be no discussion about tastes.
You may or may not find this ship beautiful.
One thing is certain, its beauty is definitely unique.
Very controversial for me.

It's all a mather of taste...but if you compare this type with the 'CAP SAN' class reefers I must say, you are right.

The CAP SAN-class were general cargo ships with about 40% refrigerated space (245.000 cft), the POLAR-ships were full reefers (425.000 cft) in the classic 4-holds layout to meet most loading/unloading facilities of that time. To look fast (23,5kn) and Hamburg-Süd-like different from other reefers they designed this type which to me is attractive. The overall appearance is also a matter of good maintenance:
