Swedish MANGARELLA is here seen on a photo taken in Dakar in March 1971.
This vessel was originally ordered by the Wallenius company, but contract sold to Rederi AB Transatlantic of Gothenburg in early 1944. Ready for delivery from Eriksbergs M/V in December 1944, but had to be laid up due to problems obtaining fuel for the vessel. In February 1945 the problems were solved, and she could do her trials and be delivered.
From 1957 until sale in 1972 the vessel was engaged in the Scandinavian - West Africa Line (SWAL), of which funnel mark she carried.

Sold 1972 to Greece and renamed THEAGENIS. Sold early in 1979 to Spanish breakers at Guixar-Vigo, where she arrived 19/3-1979. Work commenced in May 1979.
