Description:

MAN TAT built as TRI-ELLIS for the British Phosphate Commisioners by Harland & Wolff.

58 Tri-Ellis - 74 Tryphena - 78 MAN TAT - 9.80 b u Kaohsiung

Designed to carry 15 passengers as well as either phosphates or general cargo

A handsome ship whose lines are spoilt by an untidy collection of boxes on her deck. Unsurprisingly, given her condition, she was only a couple of months away from the breakers.

Despite all that mess, it's initially a beautiful design!
