The 1957 Bremerhaven built, Greek-owned ALBIREO, which was represented in London by Seven Seas Maritime Ltd (B. & S. Kalamotusis & P.E. Kollakis), was until 1971 owned by Argo Reederei R. Adler & Söhne of Bremen.

On sale, she was chartered back to Deutsche Nah-Ost Linie, in which Argo was a joint service partner.

In 1976, when the charter ended, she was sold to Transworld Bulkers Ltd of Athens and on 31st January 1979 blew up, with the very sad loss of 17 of her crew, during a voyage from Sundsvall to Whampoa with a cargo of calcium carbide.
