The unusual name of this warship commemorates five brothers, all of whom served on board the cruiser USS Juneau, and all of whom were killed when the cruiser was sunk in 1942. Although it was already Navy policy that brothers should not serve on the same warship, the brothers insisted upon doing so and the Navy relented.
