HANSA

Hansa is a double-deck passenger river motor ship of Project 305, built in 1962 at Ganz Danubius shipyard in Budapest (Hungary) by order of the RSFSR Ministry of River Fleet for operation on inland waterways.

After construction the motor ship was named "Pinega", entered the Northern River Shipping Company (port Kotlas) and until 1992 performed voyages on the transport passenger line Kotlas - Arkhangelsk on the Northern Dvina.

In 1994 the motor ship "Pinega" was sold from the steamship company to the Russian-Polish company "Supermarket" and since September 1994 was used as a floating hotel under the name Hansa in Kaliningrad.

In 2002 the motor ship "Pinega" was sold to Poland, where it was named Hansa and started to be used as a floating hotel Hotel Hansa Ship in Szczecinska Lagoon on the Oder River, near the town of Międzyzdroje. The ship operated under the flag of Poland and was assigned to the city of Swinoujście. In 2011 the ship underwent a major hull overhaul and modernization of cabins and public spaces.

Since autumn 2015, the ship has been running the floating dormitory hotel Hansa in Karlskrona, a town on Sweden's southeastern coast on the Baltic Sea.

It is now possible to rent a room here for €55 per night, or rent for €450 per month.

The ship can accommodate 120 guests. There are 62 cabins on board: 58 double rooms and 4 single rooms. All cabins are equipped with shower and toilet. On board there is a restaurant for 120 people and a dining room for 44 people with two kitchens for those who prefer to cook for themselves. There is also a bar on board.

Although the engines are in place, the boat cannot run on its own and needs to be towed.

At the same time, the boat is for sale: the latest price as of November 30, 2023 is 480,000 euros.
