Description:

DAL Deutsche Afrika-Linien GmbH & Co.'s 1965 Deutsche Werft, Hamburg, built TALANA passing Rozenburg outbound from Rotterdam on 13th September 1975 during a voyage from Assab to Hamburg. She was handed over at Hamburg to VEB Deutfracht/Seereederei, sailing from the port as GEORG HANDKE on 24th September.

That mighty kingpost with 6 derricks... impressive!
I wonder how many winches are around it to operate all those derricks...?

There are only 4 on the deck house. So once you want to use the heavy derrick the light derricks are not usable and need to be secured. 2 of the 4 winches operate the spanwires and the other 2 the cargowire for the heavy derrick (https://www.shipspotting.com/photos/1832786)

I think both HLDs' winches (there would be 3 per derrick) are inside that deckhouse while for 4 lighter derricks (at least 2 winches per each?) are on the outside.
