Description:

The 1949 Greåker (Sarpsborg, Norway) built GEORGIOS B, owned by Constantine G. Ventouris of Piraeus, at anchor in the Upper Bosphorus on 21st December 1975.

She had put into Piraeus under tow on 12th June 1974 after a grounding during a voyage from Gdynia to Istanbul. She subsequently proceeded to Istanbul and anchored in the upper Bosphorus for orders. It seems that she remained at anchor there until 1977 when eventually taken to Piraeus for repairs and brought back into service by January 1978.

EX-ACHAIKA STAR-72 EX-POLYDORA-70 EX-FERNFIORD-64 (Fearnley & Eger)

On 4th October 1980, during a voyage from Marina di Carrara to Dammam with a general cargo, she caught fire in a position 14nm off Tavolara Island, Sardinia, and sank two days later.
