Description:

SEFEROGLU anchored off Sariyer in the Bosphorus having just been repaired/

Built by Wm Gray, the original contract for her construction being made with Societe Navale
de l’Ouest, France who cancelled it before the vessel was completed. . FC Strick renegotiated the contract and she was completed as the BARDISTAN.

She was sold in 1928 to Cie Navale et Commerciale de l’Oceanie who renamed her SAINT ROCHE. In 1935 she was renamed RECHERCHE by other French owners and then CAPO OLMO by the Italian company Cia Genovese di Nav.

In !940 she was seized by French authorities at Marseilles and handed over to Great Britain for whom she traded with first Moss Hutchison and then James Burness as managers. She was reportedly due to be renamed EMPIRE FIGHTER, but this never took place.

After the war in 1945 she was handed back to French authorities with Worms et Cie as managers and renamed KOUFRA in 1946.
She was sold to other French owners and was renamed MADALI in 1948 and LEON MAZZELLA in 1951.

In 1954 she was sold to Rami Seferoglu who renamed her SEFEROGLU and traded until November 1976 when she arrived at izmir for breaking.
