Wow NeilB Thank you so much for you help identifying the name of the vessel, Now that you say it i can see the letters JM on her funnel so i think your right with the name CRESTVILLE . Thank you for putting your time in to finding out the ships name.

Robbie, two big clues there, can just make out the JM of John Monks & Co on the funnel, and the letters CR... of her name, so I'm saying CRESTVILLE which was in Monks' fleet from 1952 until 1961.
