Description:

The 1947 Odense built XENIA, owned by Angelos N. Notaras of Piraeus, was photographed in the upper Bosphorus on 22nd December 1975.

XENIA, purchased in 1967, was the former FORMIGNY, ex-KIRSTEN SKOU-49, launched as BROOKTOR

XENIA was beached at Gadani Beach near Karachi on 4.2.81 for breaking

Built in 1945 by Odense Stålskibsværft A/S, Odense, Denmark as " KIRSTEN SKOU " for Ove Skou A/S, Copenhagen Denmark.
Tonnage : grt / nrt / tdw - 2.776 / 1.511 / 5.300.
Machinery : Steam Engine 4 Cyl. Compound LES 9 - 1.800 ihp.

1945 Originally built as a so-called Hansa B ship for Hamburg – Amerika Linien. Intended for the name "BROOKTOR ".
1945 Taken over 1/5 in unfinished condition by the Danish state.Sold /5 to Ove Skou A/S. The ship was dismantled for everything except the hull, then the interior was made according to the shipping company's drawings
1947:Collided 28/11 during journey London - Hull with S/S "KAUPO". "KIRSTEN Skou" was knocked loose and had to be grounded.
1949:Sold 11/22 to Compagnie des Affréteurs Francais, Rouen, France. Renamed to " FORMIGNY ".
1949:On 28/12 hit a mine and sank off the French coast. Later salvaged and repaired.
1967:Sold to Maritime Shipping Co. Ltd., Famagusta, Cyprus,renamed " XENIA ".
1979:Sold to Dionisos Maltezos Limassol Cyprus. Name unchanged.
1981:Arrived 4/2 at Gadani Beach near Karachi Pakistan for scrapping,
