Hi Gerolf, 'BOCS Vision' arrived at LP from Owendo, Gabon, on 07/12/2023, but was destined for Viana do Castelo, Portugal
She had limped along at between 5 and 8 knots for that voyage.
I think it is reasonable to suggest that she has serious engine damage.
I saw no local engineering companies in attendance to her which would be unusual, unless repairs are going to take place at another location.
Vessel remains at Las Palmas now.
Regards, Rick

We were on Mein Schiff 1, and that was already too big for me, what was it like on the monster Aidacosma?

Hello Gerolf, we liked the Mein Schiff 1 very much, especially because of the service at the tables. Everything in peace and quiet and, if you want, with or without company at the table. The Cosma is not recommended. Everything was too crowded. I didn't even go to the pool in a week on the ship. We only got a sunbed once. We heard from a friend that there were 1600 children and 5000 adults on board during the holiday season. Carnival has built 8 of this type. 2 for Costa, 2 for AIDA, 2 for Carnival and I think 2 more for Celebrity. All 184,000 tonnes in size, but each with a different funnel.
No more for us, we are looking for small ships. Best regards Axel

The BOCS Vision was in Las Palma when I was in Las Palmas for the first time this year (18.2.24) and is still there now.
