Description:

Built in 1919 by Geo. Brown, Garvel as a steam powered minesweeper named SAMUEL GREEN. Never saw active service and was sold in 1920 and converted into a yacht named OCEAN ROVER. Renamed ARIES in 1924 and reverted to OCEAN ROVER in 1930. Requisitioned by the Admiralty in 1939, she served initially as a Torpedo Recovery Vessel, then as an anti-mine calibrating yacht. Converted back to civilian use in 1948 after a period of lay up in Portsmouth. Renamed OCEAN MIST and converted to oil burning in 1954. Converted into a static hotel ship in Leith in 2018.
