Description:

24/12/1981, east coast USA, southbound, on route from New York to Charleston, South Carolina.

I climbed the ship's foremast to take this photo.

I completed a short period of work on this ship between 08/12/1981 & 10/01/1982, across the Atlantic to the East Coast USA, and return.

A standard design by the shipyard, Type 'Namura 1000'.

Keel laid on 16/12/1977, launched on 10/07/1978, & completed on 13/11/1978, by Namura Shipbuilding, Imari, Japan (831)
13,812 g.t., 18,6060 dwt., & 1,061 teu, as:
'Seatrain Independence' to 1980,
'Seapac Independence to 1981,
'Dart Americana' to 1987,
'American Senator' to 1989,
'CMB Marque' to 1990,
'Canmar Triumph' to 2005,
'CP Triumph' to 2006,
'Triumph' to 2009, &
'Mica' when sold to India for demolition.

Arrived at Alang on 02/09/2009.
Work commenced on 08/09/2009.
