WELCOME TO SHIPSPOTTING.COM
Description:
While not exactly full speed ahead, the empty high-riding Edward L. Ryerson moves out smartly from Lorain, Ohio to join the main navigation channel in Lake Erie, returning upbound for another load of taconite. The high riding straight decker exhibits the classic upbound look of Great Lakes bulkers from decades ago. Enjoy it while you can! To get these photos entailed a 3am wake up followed by a 300 mile round trip, repeated from the day before. I should have spent the night in Lorain but I also had a 36th wedding anniversary standing between me and the Ryerson!
