Description:

Like many of her type, she came from the Lithgow yard at Port Glasgow in 1959 for the Lyle Shipping Co of Glasgow and was one of the many medium sized ore carriers seen round the British ore terminals until the advent of facilities for larger ships during the late 1970s.
I took this shot at General Terminus in Glasgow in May 1972 when by this time she had adopted the colours of Scottish Ship Management, formed by Lyle, Hogarth and Lambert Brothers.
