Ken, Hollyhock was on her way back to the lakes (Port Huron Mich) after changing an oil seal at Baltimore, thats what they say. :-? At this time 2155 Sept 11, 2007.she is sailing up the St Lawrence approaching Les Escoumin pilot station, Captain K.

Hi Kent? (CaptK) Thanks for that, still seems a long way to go "with a leaking seal" thru freshwater and protected salt (Chesapeake Bay) due to fishery there. One wonders! Nice trip 4 them though. Best wishes,Ken

I did photograph Hollyhock on her way down, did notice someone taking notes, or maybe a lonesome sailor writing home, I am beginning to think it was a fact finding trip, It could be they the USCG was looking to see how secure our system was, maybe I am being paranoid, 3800 miles or more just to change an oil seal, it is hard to justify :-?, A nice sea voyage albeit, give those personnel on board some good Atlantic Ocean expierence, like I was used too. Hollyhock presently going by Quebec City 1430

Hi again Kent: Well I don't think ur paranoid, the same thing crossed my mind when I saw her here in the Naval Dockyard where they are presently constructing an anti-terror boom around the jettys. One would think Naval Attaches would do that type of soft spying, but we know Uncle Sam often does things in a strange way.Amatures when compared to the Brits.Ah well, nothing we can do.No,not paranoid,REALISTIC. All best,Ken.
