Description:

This is for all of us thats into "oldtimers", i know i am. Well. Today i was in Larvik for a... Rectal examination, and before i went there, i was on the docks, shooting this sweetheart, and a couple of other ones. This one is in larvik from time to time, allthough i never got her, before today. I also got a hemmoroid-operation, not that pleasant at all.

But here she is:

Wonderful shot Tomas, really fantastic I mean!
Hilarious comments about your little problem.
I really laughed a lot, hope the pain was not to bad. It is an "old wife's tale" about sitting on cold surfaces! I have sat on cold steel railway lines for years, no problems yet and I am getting to the age when these things should run rampant!
All the best for keeping us amused.

Derek

Steel yourself my man!
I have no tattoo's though!
Just Sciatica that is very painful and I have it most of the time. Serves me right for playing sport into my late forties and being on a motorbike a lot of the time.

Have taken up cycling recently which does help, and no parking problems!

Hehe... Yeah, well, took a look at the link, auch, that looks painful. I stopped smoking 10 months ago, that helped alot. Never again! Funny that the stoneblocks are beeing transported with this "old" and pretty worn out ships. There are LOTS of money involved.
Well, money talks, i guess,...

Guess they don't worry about damage to the ship either!
I packed up "fags" when I met my little "angel"
I was 22, that's an awful long while ago!
Been married to her 31 years now, guess if I had shot some one I would be out by now!!!

Allways nice talking with you. Seems like the storm of negativity is stalling a bit now. The moderator 01 seems pretty sour though. I know its just an alias but... I dont know. I better stay within the frames, hehe!

Things will settle down now I think.
If you have any worries complaints etc pm
or e mail me right away.
As for alias well thats not for me and I do not regret it. I really have had no problems and anyway I can deal with them. We certainly need your humour and your photos on here!
All the best

Well, i kinda use shipspotting as a valve to release some preasure of my soul. Nothing calms me more down than outwaiting a ship, small or big, old or new. And if anyone likes my shots and stories, thats cool. I am planning to attend nautical-school next autumn. god knows what will happen then, hehe!

A really good picture of a ship which does - just look strange !
For the rest, I can just warn you, do you know the most-used lies by doctors - DO YOU ?
Well, it's simply "It won't hurt" !! It hurts EVERY TIME when they say this sentence :-D :-D :-D

Edit
comment

person
Yeah, the old sadist said it would not hurt. But then again he never seen worse, hehe... Well, the ship loads stones, big chunks of stone, 20-50 tons.

I like to say "Thanks for sharing," under a photo. Not sure about adding that this time. A bit too much information for us sqeamish islanders. I say that very sympathetically.

What part of the world actually needs to import rocks.

I got told something very.. I do not know whether I should say strange, or this is normal in global trade now. But I got told from someone from Samskip, exporting stone "Labrador - Granit", which is used on streets, on kitchen surfaces and much more, and this comes from the area near Larvik (even in Larvik they use this stone for on buildings, etc.) and I got told, they do load these stones on open top containers, and they are exported to China, where people do refining - they work with the stones, and export them back to the place !! Because work-labour is cheaper in China, and it is even cheap enough to ship it all around the world... So, that's the story and Europeans buy granit-stone for kitchen-surfice, made by a chinese man, receiving a good brainwash by government to believe in communism :-D :-D :-D ok the latter is just my imagination but the export-story is true.

That is very true. The member CSCLXIN actually works with just that.

Excellent photograph Tomas and the best of luck with your "Farmer's" operation ;-) You should never sit on mooring bits :-D

Thanx man, yeah, the conditions for the photo was super. But the operation was... Man, painful is what comes to mind, and somehow a little embarrasing. I can imagine what the girls are going through when they are at the gynechologist....

Mister ass -man.

Very very nice, I do keep getting one notification after another, to your nice lesson in Norwegian, which made me learn at least one word, and that is Ass-Man, well I am not sure if I can use such, when I come to Larvik again, but anyways, I just send greetings to you two, from Switzerland to Norway ! :-D 8-)

Hehe! Yes, you where really on the samskip express the same day i took pictures of her?

Edit

person
Yes, but while I have been to town from around morning till 01.00 and after that back on the ship, I think you took the photo sometime in between that, hehe and very different way to climb up that ladder to get onboard, than boarding by usual gangway :-)

Yeah, noticed that. She was pretty heavy loaded, when she was in larvik. I must go there once more with the new super-camera. Jesus, it takes some sick pictures.

They have taken alot of that "Labrador" - Granit, so alot of stone so to say, and yes they took a really big load there, and luckily the stones only in the holds and not at the anchor 8-)
But I still do wonder, what are these white marzipan- and chocolate filled rolls called in Norwegian ? I did eat that in Larvik, and also at Moss, and the Swedes do them similar but with green marzipan and inside same stuff.
