Thanks Matt...
As you can see the Fall colours help with any shot these days. As for the ship hiding behind the trees in the background i can't be 100% sure but suspect it's the MARIA DESGAGNES.
Cheers

The ship in the background at the oil dock, is the Seatransport, the one with the red band around the funnel.

My Hat is Off To You Kent...
I could almost hit it with a rock from here and yet it takes an upper Canadian to set us straight
Hope all is well with you
Cheers

I was a downeaster for a few years, thats were I got my smarts from, I was stationed in Halifax for a few years in the Navy. Desgagnes funnels are not that color, although she is there, possibly hidden by the bigger Seatransport, you were not 100% wrong, don't sell youself short, also I had help from the port of Halifax website.
Now you know my source. :-) Great photo 8-)

FOSS, is that the same tug company that operates in the State of Washington?, among other places.

Rite again Kent....
Foss Tug and Barge was and i think still is based in Washington State. I am a Best coaster, I mean West Coaster (Vancouver)and put myself thru university working on Westcoast Towboats. I always heard that the Foss family was wonderful to work for but as they are a USA company i never found out first hand.
Regards
Chris C.
