Description:
Tied up at the CG Base in Key West, FL is the 110-foot Island class Patrol Boat DRUMMOND. She entered service in 1988 and is due to be given a life extension overhaul in the near future. She can still turn up about 25 knots in smooth seas and is armed with a 25-mm chain gun and .50cal machine guns. Her prime mission is drug and illegal alien interdiction in the waters between Florida and Cuba.
