Vous êtes un couche-tard mon cher Gilbert ou bien vous vous levez très tôt. Il y a six heures de décalage horaire entre la France et le Québec et ici, il est 22h30.

Merci pour le commentaire sur cette image. Les RORO étrangers sont effectivement de très rares visiteurs sur le St.Laurent. J'ai été privilégié de pouvoir bénéficier de conditions de lumière optimales pour photographier celui-ci et j'en ai profité pour le 'poivrer' au passage.

Je pense que c'est sa première visite à Montréal mais j'ai photographié deux navires de cette classe ici en 2003 et 2006.

She works for the Royal Fleet Auxiliary to carry rolling stock and cargo for the British Army. Some Army units train in Alberta and their materiel is taken to Montréal by ships like HURST POINT. Then it's loaded on trains to be taken to its destination and vice-versa.
If you take a close peek at the stern shots of the ship, you will see some of the military vehicles aft of the superstructure.

Thanks for the info Marc -- I appreciate it. I had no clue that the British Army travelled that far to train but I guess it makes sense given the small amount of land area in the UK and the wide open expanses of Alberta.
