M/v TIRAN ISLAND ex m/s SIEMIATYCZE, a general cargo ship- built in the Adolf Warski Shipyard in Szczecin (and not as per Shipspotting Portal :by the Nowa Shipyard ) as the seventh ship of the B432 series (B432/II/7). The launching took place on May 22, 1976 (so 26 years before the establishment of the Nowa Shipyard). The vessel designated for the Mediterranean Line was completed and commissioned on November 30, 1976. In May 1993, the ship was chartered to POL-LEVANT, which bought it from Polish Ocean Lines on September 20, 1995. It was also then that the flag was changed and the entry into the MALTA register took place. In March 2001, m/s SIEMIATYCZE changed its owner and flag again. As TIRAN ISLAND, the ship became the property of the Egyptian shipowner and stayed
registered under the flag of Egypt. For the next eight years he worked for the new owner, until after 33 decent years he was sold (2009) and scrapped in India (Mumbay).
