Jacobite Cruises are based at Inverness and offer cruises on Loch Ness to Urquart Castle for a spot of' 'Nessie' spotting and the JACOBITE QUEEN is one of their ships. She was built in 1949 by R.W.Hawthorn at Hebburn on Tyne as the Tyne Queen and served as a pssenger ferry on the Tyne until retired in 1986. She was aquired by Jacobite Cruises and rebuilt as a classic steam cruiser with accomodation for 159 passengers. Pictured here on Loch Ness on July 28th, 2008.
