Description:
HONG QI 134 was photographed at Singapore in March 1981.
Built in 1956 by Deutsche Werft at Hamburg as HOEGH CLIFF, she was sold East in 1967 becoming EASTERN CLIFF (Indo-China S.N. Co. of British Hong Kong), then in 1972 BIHUA of Ocean Tramping, Hong Kong. This Company was owned by the Government of the People's Republic of China who in 1979 transferred the ship to Chinese registry, renaming her HONG QI 134
Miramar shows her as still in existence in 2003 while Equasis records her as owned by GUANGZHOU MARITIME TRANSPORT 22, Shamian Nanjie, Liwan Qu, Guangzhou, until being declared "dead" at the end of 2007.
