Description:

Pictured under arrest at Las Palmas on 09/11/2006 after being detained for drug running. It is beleived to be the vessel IMO 7392933 but a further verification would be appreciated please .

Hi Niek

Look very closely at both photographs and try and imagine both from the same angle - wheelhouse and gantries are the same and the fact the Home Port is Urk is a give away!

Hi Steve,

Vessels are very similar but the Aurora is the former UK 18 'Immanuel' from 1975.
and the linked photo on www.worldfishingtoday is an older UK 18 'Immanuel' from 1970. Only some details are different..

Perhaps we will never know - especially if she has been caught drug running - could well end up being scrapped as part of the punishment!

I agree in what Niek writes. I have studied the many pics of both vessels on www.shipdata.nl and the Aurora is the vessel built in 1975. The other UK 18 in the link mentioned in the first comment is another and smaller vessel built in 1970.
