Thanks alot, yes I thought as well - nice lines :-) You know I joined the inofficial shipspotter meeting and there was a trip to MSC's home terminal where I did hope to see some of their older ships - and of course like everyone else new MSC Danit !

She's too young to be my favourite MSC-oldie... but it's a great photo and she does look really nice in spite of her youth! 8-)

Nah- it's not SO new !! If you like new, look at MSC Danit :-D Andrew said with pride, it's an ex. P&O Nedlloyd while Dave pointed out, it's been a Maersk (that was after P&O though).

In comparison with my all time favourite she's a youngster! :-D
Great names - P&O, Maersk, MSC... Let's see where she'll wind up next...

What next ? Well, as far as I know, MSC is the real "final destination" for old containerships. As far as I know.. oh wait ! APL Italy was a former MSC-ship, but not owned by MSC, only chartered. You know the USA are the country of superlatives. Nowhere you'd find older containerships  Horizon Lines and Matson Navigation do for sure have alot of intersting stuff for you.

"Final Destination 4 - The MSC-Horror-Vessels"... good title for a fourth sequel of this horror movie series!

Yes, Horizon and Matson sure do have some lovely old vessels, but they're so hard to come by when you live in Europe! :-(

True, they only trade between US ports. Horror vessels ? Only a few ones ! This time at Antwerp, oldies but all well kept, dented but not rusty. That's how it is interesting to see these ships :-D "A night at the museum" :p
