Description:

Helgoland as German Red Cross (DRK) hospital ship seen docked in Danang, Vietnam, in April 1968.

Built for Hafenschifffahrt AG (HADAG) in 1963, operated for same from 1963 to 1965.
Converted to hospital ship and operated by the DRK from 1965 to 1972 in Vietnam.
To Stena Line as Stena Finlandica 1975-76.
To KG Seetouristik as Baltic Star until 2000.
Last as Galapagos Legend in Ecuador.

Original submission edited to correct "sloping waterline". Prior to edit had 295 hits.
