Description:

The Grandeur of the Seas passes Annapolis, Maryland in Chesapeake Bay downbound on Aug 8, 2009. She , Marylanddeparted from Baltirmore, Maryland earlier in the day. I saw it quite by accident as I was crossing the Chesapeake Bay on a bridge -- it went right under me--and I pulled off the highway as soon as I got off the birdge to take this photo on a really scuzzy day late in the afternoon. I was enroute from the U.S. Marine base in Quantico, Virginia, to my summer cottage in northern Vermont, an all night drive. In just a few minutes time I saw 4 ships pass under the bridge and another 3 were anchored off Annapolis, all distant shots. SPECIAL THANKS TO ILHAN FOR IDENTIFYING THIS SHIP!
