I have just returned from Lanzarote and have passed this wreck many many times, Imagine my suprise when I found out that this was actually the Temple Hall... which I had sailed on. In 1962 we left the Tyne lightship for Newport News Virginia loaded coal for Osaka with Hawaii for bunkers the across to Vancouver for timber to Plymouth and Greenwich. We took some photo's and my wife swears she saw a tear fall!

Greek TELAMON. While on a voyage from Abidjan and San Pedro (Cote d'Ivoire) to Thessaloniki with a cargo of logs, she developed leaks and was beached off Arrecife, Lanzarote, on October 31, 1981. Later abandoned as a constructive total loss.
