Operator: Enomena Shipping (Hellas) Corp, Piraeus, Greece. (John D Polemis).
Built: 1965 by Uddevallavarvet A/B Uddevalla, Sweden. Yard no. 260.
Main engine: eight-cylinder, two-stroke Uddevallavarvet-Götaverken 760/1500VGS-8U of 10,000 bhp at 120 rpm. Speed: 16.5 knots .

1977-sold/renamed PLOTINOS (as photo).
1986-sold renamed VITO for trip to breakers at Alang, India, arrived October.
Photo: anchored in the Thames off Gravesend. When ships anchored here it was often because they had a problem. As I remember it, this one was stopped here to inspect damage sustained by colliding with one of the piers of the Thames Barrier at Woolwich, which was still under construction at the time.
Note the P&O house flag, suggesting that they were the charterers of the former LOF ship.

Great vintage photo. Enomena Shipping renamed to JD Polemis Shipping and is headed by Avgoustis Polemis, with currently no ships. Last action of the company was to sell its sole handy bulker, only a few months after delivery from the Shimanami Yard in Japan, in 2009, to compatriot owner S.Frangoulis Shipmanagement, in Piraeus.
